Nicor Gas

Utilities are something we only think about when there’s a problem, and when it comes to natural gas, peace-of-mind in incredibly important. Nicor is the largest natural gas distributor in Illinois, but after a series of price hikes and PR mishaps, they needed to rebuild and reinforce the brand’s profile with customers.

We created a :30s spot as well as print, outdoor, and social to remind customers about the vital role natural gas plays and how Nicor has been a trusted provider for decades. Writing a bullet-proof script, threading the needle with meaningful visuals, and shooting stills at the same time as the live-action filming was all part of the fun.

Oh, and my dog, Kuzco, became an instant star in the process.
